Vivo X Fold 3 Series: A New Era of Foldable Phones

Vivo has launched two new foldable phones under the X Fold 3 series in China, setting new standards in the foldable smartphone market.

Design and Display

The X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro feature an ultra-thin design with SGS Gold Label Five-Star Glass Drop Resistance, UTG super tough glass, and a carbon fiber hinge. Both phones boast an 8.03-inch AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ support.

Performance

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, the X Fold 3 has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, while the X Fold 3 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Both offer up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, running on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14.

Camera

The X Fold 3 series sports impressive camera setups. The X Fold 3 has a triple rear camera with a 50MP main sensor, while the X Fold 3 Pro features a 50MP Ultra Sensing main camera. Both have a 32MP front camera.

Battery and Connectivity

The X Fold 3 packs a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging, while the X Fold 3 Pro has a 5,700mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Both support dual 5G, Bluetooth v5.3, WiFi-7, and NFC.

In China, the X Fold 3 starts at CNY 6,999, and the X Fold 3 Pro starts at CNY 9,999. Both are available in Solar White and Eclipse Black color options and can be purchased online with shipping starting by the end of the month.
